The FDA granted Fast Track Designation to BNT113, an mRNA immunotherapy by BioNTech for HPV16+ head and neck cancer, designed to enhance immune responses alongside pembrolizumab.

BNT113 doesn’t target a generic protein. It teach T-cells to find and kill HPV16-driven cancer cells.

From a one-size-fits-all checkpoint inhibitor to a personalized, tumor-specific immune education. Still investigational and in clinical trials, not yet approved, but the paradigm is shifting: combining pembrolizumab + mRNA vaccine to make immunotherapy work for more patients.
